WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium “A Gender Diverse World in Global Unity” was held at the EPIC SANA Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal, September 25-30, 2024 (Pre-Courses: September 25-26, 2024; Scientific Sessions: September 26-30, 2024.) 

The WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium was led by WPATH President Dr. Marci Bowers and Scientific Co-Chairs Dr. Müjde Özer and Dr. Thomas Satterwhite, and Surgeon's Program Chair Dr. Gennaro Selvaggi.

WPATH will offer a live-only Surgeon's Program at the Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel on September 25 and 26, 2024, prior to the WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium. This program will feature a variety of gender affirming surgery topics, and is only available to those who plan to register and attend the live Symposium in Lisbon.

For the first time ever, WPATH is excited to open registration for ALL ATTENDEES to join our Surgeons and Surgical Team Members on Day 2 of the Surgeon’s Program.

Day 1: Surgeon’s Only Day (for Surgeons and Surgical Team Members)
Day 2: Open to All Attendees* (additional fee required)

WPATH GEI PRE COURSES

WPATH will offer the following live-only WPATH GEI Pre Courses at the Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel on September 25 and 26, 2024, prior to the WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium. These Pre Courses are only available to attendees who plan to register and attend the live Symposium in Lisbon. The WPATH GEI Pre Courses are organized and facilitated by the WPATH Global Education Institute.

Registration Cancelation/Adjustment Policy

All cancelations for the 2024 WPATH 28th Scientific Symposium must be submitted in writing by email to wpath@wpath.org 

WPATH will retain 10% of the registration fees paid if your registration is canceled prior to September 1, 2024, to cover administrative and processing fees. No refunds or registration changes will be issued after September 1, 2024. Cancelations will be accepted in writing only, via email to wpath@wpath.org

Switching from in-person to virtual attendance will result in a refund of the fee difference, minus the 10% administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after September 1, 2024. Adjustments will be accepted in writing only, via email to wpath@wpath.org

Switching from virtual attendance to in-person attendance will not incur any administrative fees, other than paying the difference in registration rates. Adjustments will be accepted in writing only, via email to wpath@wpath.org
